<p>Water enters the filter through the <strong>(IN)</strong> inlet and goes through the filtering cylinder from the inside to the outside. This will retain all non-deformable suspended solids that are the same size or bigger than the filtration degree installed. Filtered water leaves through the outlet pipe <strong>(OUT)</strong>. </p>

<p>To clean the filter element is necessary drain the vessel through the ball valve, open the cover, extract the filter element and wash it.</p>

							<h3>REGENERATION</h3>
<p>The continuous settling of suspended solids inside the filtering cylinder <strong>(1)</strong> obstructs the passage of water which results in a pressure difference (∆P). At a preset value of ∆P (range 0.3 ÷ 1 Bar) an automatic cycle will start to clean the filter cylinder, this operation begins with a signal that opens the discharge valve <strong> (2)</strong> and creates communication between the suction nozzles <strong>(3)</strong> with the outside environment. At the same time, the electric motor <strong>(4)</strong> creates a rotating motion which enables the nozzles to inspect the filtering surface. Dirt is ejected through the discharge valve <strong>(2)</strong>. <br />     The cleaning cycle lasts approximately 15 seconds.</p>

							<h3>CONTROL</h3>
<p>A switchboard controls the washing phases. The signal that starts the cleaning cycle is given by a differential pressure switch or by time. The switchboard gives an “alarm” signal in case of problems in the washing system. These signals can be sent to a pre-existing control center. <br />    The washing phase can also be controlled manually. The solenoid controlling the valve is pneumatic. </p>

<p>The continuous settling of suspended solids inside the filtering cylinder <strong>(1)</strong> obstructs the passage of water which results in a pressure difference (∆P). <p>A switchboard controls the washing phases. The signal that starts the cleaning cycle is given by a differential pressure switch or by time. The switchboard gives an “alarm” signal in case of problems in the washing system. These signals can be sent to a pre-existing control center. <br />    The washing phase can also be controlled manually. The solenoids controlling the valves are pneumatic. </p>

							<h3>REGENERATION</h3>
<p>Constant deposit of suspended solid particles inside the filtering cylinder <strong>(1)</strong> obstructs the passage of water, causing a pressure differential (∆P). At a preset ∆P value (ranging from 0.2 ÷ 0.4 Bar) an automatic cleaning cycle of the filtering <strong>(1)</strong> cylinder starts. This activity begins with a signal that opens the discharge valve <strong>(2)</strong> allowing communication of the suction nozzles <strong>(3)</strong> with the outside environment. At the same time, the electric motor’s <strong>(4)</strong> rotary motion allows the nozzles to inspect the entire filtering surface. Dirt is removed through the discharge valve <strong>(2)</strong>. <strong>The cleaning cycle lasts 15 sec</strong>.    </p>

							<h3>CONTROL</h3>
<p>A switchboard controls the washing phases. The signal that starts the cleaning cycle is given by a differential pressure switch or by time. The switchboard gives an “alarm” signal in case of problems in the washing system. These signals can be sent to a pre-existing control centre. The washing phase can also be controlled manually. The solenoid controlling the valve is pneumatic.     </p>

							<h3>REGENERATION</h3>
<p>The continuous settling of suspended solids inside the filtering cylinder <strong>(4)</strong> obstructs the passage of water which results in a pressure difference (∆P). At a pre-set value of ∆P (range 0.3 ÷ 1 Bar) an automatic cycle will start to clean the filter cylinder <strong>(4)</strong>. This operation begins with a signal that opens the discharge valve <strong>(3)</strong> and creates communication between the suction nozzles <strong>(1)</strong> with the outside environment. At the same time, the electric motor <strong>(5)</strong> creates a rotating motion which enables the nozzles to inspect the filtering surface. Dirt is ejected through the discharge valve <strong>(3)</strong>.     The cleaning cycle lasts approximately 15 seconds. The SCRO version is equipped with a manual safety pre-filter with a 3 mm filtration rating.</p>

							<h3>CONTROL</h3>
<p>A switchboard controls the washing phases. The signal that starts the cleaning cycle is given by a differential pressure switch or by time. <br />  <strong>The switchboard gives an “alarm” signal in case of problems in the washing system. <br /></strong> These signals can be sent to a pre-existing control centre. The washing phase can also be controlled manually. The solenoid controlling the valve is pneumatic.  </p>

							<h3>HOW IT WORKS</h3>
<p>The water to be filtered flows through an inlet <strong>(1)</strong>, welded tangential to the body, then moves downward towards the inner cone <strong>(2)</strong> as its speed increases. The centrifugal force created separates the heavier suspended solids from the water. The cleaned water hits the deflector <strong>(3)</strong> and goes back up through the outlet collector <strong>(4)</strong>. Impurities are deposited below the deflector in the collection tank <strong>(5)</strong>. The particles can either be discharged continuously or purged on a timed schedule via a drain hole <strong>(6)</strong>.    </p>

							<h3>FILTRATION EFFICIENCY</h3>
<p>The cyclones product range features two series, the <strong>IC series</strong> with <strong>good separation performance</strong> and <strong>low head losses</strong> and the <strong>IC HF series</strong>, with excellent separation performance even up to <strong>10 micron</strong>, but with <strong>high head loss</strong>. The diagram below shows the differences in separation efficiency between the <strong>IC</strong> and <strong>IC HF</strong> series.  </p>
