]]> The pre-treatment system consists of filtering open sea water with the following treatments:

FIRST STAGE

  • SCR L self-cleaning filter in SAF2205 80-15
  • 80 micron filtration
  • Flow rate 25 mc/h

SECOND STAGE

  • SCR L self-cleaning filter in SAF2205 80-15
  • 20 micron filtration WITH 3D FABRIC
  • Flow rate 25 mc/h

THIRD STAGE

  • Melt blown polypropylene filter 9″x 40″ Cartridge diameter 2″1/2
  • 5 micron filtration
  • Flow rate 25 mc/h

 

Previously, the system consisted of an 80 micron self-cleaning filter + a 25 micron self-cleaning filter (with monofilament fabric).

The change of filtering element in the second stage, from 25 micron monofilament to 20 micron 3D has led to lengthening the life of the melt blown filter cartridges. With 25 micron monofilament fabric the filter cartridges were replaced every day, with 20 micron 3d fabric the cartridge change has gone to 4 days.
