FILTER ELEMENT AND CLEANING SYSTEM
FILTRATION PHASE
During the filtration phase, the fluid goes through the filter element from the inside to the outside. It retains all suspended solids that are larger than or equal to the filtration size installed. The continuous settling of suspended solids inside the filter cylinder will gradually obstruct the passage of water resulting in a pressure difference (∆P)

WASHING PHASE
At a preset value of ∆P (range 0.3 ÷ 1 Bar) the automatic filter-cleaning cycle will start. This operation begins with a signal that opens the exhaust valve, and connects the suction nozzles with the external environment. Simultaneously, the electric motor creates a rotary motion that allows the nozzles to inspect the entire filtering surface, washing only a small section at a time. This gives very high washing efficiency and limited quantity of discharged water. Dirt is evacuated through the exhaust valve. The cleaning cycle lasts approximately 15-20 seconds
